Commercial Law Definition

Also known as trade law, which is the area of law that deal with the rights, relations and conduct of businesses and people engaged in commerce, trade, merchandising, and sales.

Corporate law

More commonly known as business law. Commercial law regulates the conduct of businesses and persons as they engage in merchandising, commerce, sales and trade. 

This aspect of law covers many areas such as contracts, banking,, credit transactions, real estate and the alike.

The main difference between Corporate law and Commercial law, is that corporate law governs the creation of companies, shareholders and their rights, mergers and acquisitions and directors and their rights.

Corporate law deals strictly with the sale and distribution of goods in businesses.
